Winning Case Strategies in Irritable Bowel Disease Cases

You and your attorney will greatly improve your chances of winning your disability case if you have a clear, thought out strategy to win.   The good news here is that you do not have to guess what your judge wants – the Social Security Administration requires judges to analyze every disability case in exactly the same way.  Thus, the strategies that work are not a mystery.  Your attorney’s job is to identify the winning strategy or strategy that fits best with the facts of your case, and to present evidence that fits the selected winning argument.

The case strategies that work best in most disability cases include:

  1. do your medical records support an argument that you meet a disability listing?
  2. if you do not meet a listing, can you show that your symptoms and/or medication side effects prevent you from reliably performing a job?
  3. if you are over the age of 50, do you fit one of the “grid rules?

If you can answer “yes” to any of these questions, and the evidence backs you up, you stand a very good chance of winning a favorable decision.
